Cross-country skiers live longer

back to magazine overview

Cross-country skiers live longer, which is why today we pack up our cross-country skis and go to Zürs to explore the cross-country ski trail there.

The local bus with the number 3 takes us from Lech to Zürs, a little higher up.
Not far away from the Trittkopfbahn is the 4 km long cross-country ski trail which we will run soon.Despite extensive high clouds, which cover the sun, it is pleasantly warm, the icy temperatures of the last weeks are history, spring is slowly awakening.

Here we go! There is plenty of snow and the conditions are just perfect.
I quickly feel warm, because the trail is tough, it goes straight uphill.
After a few meters we take a break to enjoy a sip of water. Before we move on, we marvel at the wonderful mountain scenery that surrounds us.
Some photos later we continue our journey - uphill again.

Arrived at the Flexenpass at 1774m today we choose to not stop at the Flexenhäusl for a drink. Instead we take another short break on the slope to admire the breathtaking mountain scenery once more. Before it goes back downhill to the starting point of the cross-country ski trail.
